Downey Central Missionary Baptist Church
Downey Central Missionary Baptist Church was organized on March 22, 1964, sent out from our sister church in Sacramento. We are an independent Baptist church located in the city of Downey, approximately 25 minutes south of Los Angeles. Our church is easily accessible from the 105, 605, and 91 freeways.
Although we associate with local, state, and national New Testament Baptist churches, we are an autonomous body of believers; we are self-governing and self-supporting. The head of the church is the Lord Jesus Christ. It is our intent and desire to be a true New Testament church as demonstrated in the Scriptures.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19) We have an active outreach ministry, lead by Bro. Steven Keeler. Equipped with eye-catching signs and tracts proclaiming the Gospel, we have reached thousands of people by visiting college campuses, parades, sporting events, religious conventions, and even the Academy Awards!
